Preliminary Working Draft Strategic Plan Assignment
The Strategic Plan Preliminary Working Draft assignment was an individual assignment where I chose to tell the story of a healthcare facility that provides direct patient care. The goal of the assignment was to further analyze the organization and how its current operations and strategic factors will contribute to its future position in the market, and its stability in providing care to the community it serves while also fulfilling its mission and vision.
What I learned
This assignment helped me understand how healthcare management concepts come together in real-world practice. I was able to explore how performance improvement, strategic planning, project management, leadership, and organizational behavior all play a role in achieving better outcomes. I gained insight into how healthcare leaders must effectively manage resources, address challenges, and implement strategic plans that not only improve organizational performance, but also positively impact the communities they serve. Overall, it strengthened my understanding of the importance of healthcare leadership and the skills required to drive meaningful and sustainable improvement.
