Professionalism in The Healthcare Workplace

Email Scenarios Assignment

This Email Scenarios Assignment provided me with three mock email prompts that allowed me to practice utilizing the most appropriate professional for each scenario. Prompts highlighted common email communication such as patient satisfaction, team delegation, and personal obligations. I have provided two out of three of my responses to each prompt.

What I learned

This email scenarios assignment allowed me to strengthen my professional communication skills in a healthcare context. Through responding to scenarios such as a patient complaint, team delegation, and a request for time off, I learned how to tailor my tone, language, and level of formality to fit different situations. The assignment challenged me to think critically about how to remain clear, respectful, and solution-oriented while addressing concerns or making requests. It also reinforced the importance of professionalism and empathy in written communication, such as emails, especially in healthcare settings where clarity and tone can directly impact relationships and outcomes.
